Gynecologic Oncology
Endometrial (uterine) cancer care
Diagnosis and surgery for cancer of the womb lining.
What it is
Endometrial cancer most often causes bleeding after menopause, which leads to early diagnosis in many women. Surgery is the main treatment.
Who it's for
Women with postmenopausal bleeding or a diagnosis of endometrial cancer or hyperplasia.
What to expect
- Sampling of the womb lining and imaging
- Hysterectomy, often with removal of tubes and ovaries
- Additional treatment if needed after surgery
Common questions
Is bleeding after menopause always cancer?
No — most causes are benign — but it must always be checked.
