Hands-on laparoscopic skills training with MIS Africa

MCM hosted a three-day basic laparoscopic skills course (27–29 November 2025) run in collaboration with MIS Africa.

Participants practising on laparoscopic trainers

From 27 to 29 November 2025, MCM hosted a Basic Laparoscopic Skills Training course organised with the Urology Society of Ethiopia in collaboration with MIS Africa. The course closed with an award ceremony for participants.

Laparoscopic skills — camera handling, depth perception, instrument control and suturing — are learned step by step on simulators before they are used with patients.

Building these skills locally supports safer keyhole surgery across specialties, including gynecology.
